HOLLAND, Mich. (December 15, 2025) – Lakeshore Advantage has named P.J. Thompson, CEO of Trans-Matic, as the recipient of the 2026 Lakeshore Advantage Visionary Award. The honor recognizes individuals in the Lakeshore region who demonstrate bold leadership, create impact beyond their formal roles, and bring stakeholders together to achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes. Thompson will be honored at the Lakeshore Advantage Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville.

Under Thompson’s leadership, Trans-Matic has grown into a global leader in deep draw metal stamping. The company employs more than 200 team members in Holland, Michigan, and maintains a global presence with operations in China and Mexico. The Thompson family has also been active in local philanthropy, supporting community initiatives including the Holland Ice Park, the Holland Civic Center, the Holland Aquatic Center expansion, and Lakeshore Advantage initiatives including the Next Center and the Powering Our Future growth plan.
