Our 1-Year Plan

LOOKING FORWARD TO 2024

  • 1Next Center construction is complete and a plan to meet future revenue targets is in place. Success is 50% of current SURGE Center members committed, 2nd floor and 3rd floor tenants secured or underway, and learning lab rental strategy complete.
  • 2Next Center activation plan is in place. Success is Lakeshore Advantage move plan finalized space use/guidelines external outreach/marketing underway, and open house(s) scheduled.
  • 3Industry cluster research complete and plan underway. Success is industry clusters identified, individual industry cluster workplans complete, and engagement plan for non-cluster primary employers underway.
  • 4Significant site preparation efforts are underway at identified select sites. Success is infrastructure and other site needs identified, MEDC regional site readiness funding deployed, and marketing plan underway.
  • 5Local unit of government development needs and growth priorities identified. Success is assessment created and interviews conducted.
  • 6Top in-demand positions identified, and action plan research is underway. Success is key position(s) identified, primary and secondary research analyzed, and young professionals engaged.
  • 7Long term action plan for increased revenue finalized. Success is feasibility study complete, roadmap finalized, investor campaign outcomes established, and regional funding secured and deployed.

  • 1Our start-up eco-system is ignited. The Next Center is a dynamic hub that fosters collaborative relationships between our entrepreneurs, primary employers, educators, and strategic community partners.
  • 2 We have increased availability of industrial sites and/or buildings through collaboration with developers, local, state, and regional partners.
  • 3 Our primary employers are supported across all industries with a strategic focus on selected growing industry clusters.
  • 4 We know the wants/needs of our diverse/emerging workforce in in-demand positions and are driving efforts to meet those needs.
  • 5 Lakeshore Advantage has increased revenue to transform our three-year picture from vision to reality.
