INITIATIVE 1

 

Accelerate attraction, retention and growth in our talent pipeline with a focus on the next generation of high-demand emerging workers.

 

Expected Outcomes:

  • The Lakeshore region is at or above the national average educational attainment rate.
  • We have an increased rate of primary employers offering internships, apprenticeships, and co-ops.

Powering Primary Employers & Communities

INITIATIVE 2

 

Support stability and growth of existing primary employers in the region while positioning ourselves as a top business destination for new and expanding businesses.

 

Expected Outcomes:

  • Employment growth will be at or above the national average growth rate.
  • 15 or more Lakeshore Advantage-supported expansion or attraction projects per year.
  • $15M in leveraged funds, on average, per year.

Powering the Next Generation of Employers

INITIATIVE 3

 

Establish a dynamic startup ecosystem for entrepreneurs and the next generation of employers in target sectors.

Expected Outcomes:

  • 65 Lakeshore Advantage-supported startups on average per year.
  • $2M average annual funding available to startups.
  • Six startups per year, on average, achieving revenue stage.
